Jim & Jan

If you are here I guess you would like to know a bit about my family and myself.

I am 60 and married to a wonderful man, Jim. We were married in 1995. I was previously married and have 2 grown children from that marriage.

I had been divorced for 16 years when I met Jim. I was just about to give up on finding a decent man to marry. Being on my own for so long, I found it hard to be with anyone for a long time before they seemed to get on my nerves.   Jim was the answer to my prayers. He is a truck driver and hauls new cars all over the states. So he is gone for all of the week. That was just perfect for me. We won't get on each other's nerves and we won't get tired of each other as fast. Never happen with Jim. Ha ha !!

Right after I met Jim, about 2 months, I was diagnosed with Lupus. Now I figured he would say good- bye, but he didn't. He asked me to move in, it would be easier for me. And he would pay the bills, since I couldn't work. So my son, 16 at the time, and his dog, Reebok and I moved in. Boy was that an undertaking, But what a blessing. We were married in 1995. He wanted me to have the whole thing, Dress and reception. I asked all of my nieces and nephews to be in the wedding. Flower girls, ushers and helpers. They all had something to do. So they all got to have new dresses and tucks. I have 8 so it was just perfect.

I have my Lupus story on another page. Please visit and find out about my story. I also have a Fibromyalgia page also.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1992. Right after being diagnosed with Lupus. I also have been diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome. I will be making a page dedicated to this soon.

My son, Michael is engaged to a wonderful gal, Rhonda. She has two children, a son and a daughter. They just had a daughter together on March 3rd, 2004. Her name is Hannah.

My daughter, Lisa and her husband, Rob have two children. Megan and Mitchell. Megan was 12 in February 2008 and Mitchell is 9, he  celebrates his birthday in October. He was diagnosed as Autistic when he turned 2. He went to a special school, four days a week and rode a special school bus.. He is doing much better, He is doing so much better and is now in 4th grade, and is in the top of his class.
Megan is in 6th grade and doing very well. She is an all A student.

Jim has three daughters all together. Two are married. The first, Anita has a son, and 2 stepson's. Angie has a daughter, Hannah. She is 9, Angie had twins in May 2001, Haley and Austin . She has her hands full for sure.  Amanda, Jim's youngest did live with us but is now living in an apartment with her boyfriend.

Things that I enjoy are: Jewelry making crocheting, making graphics, Watching a good movie, listening to nice music. Like the 60's, 70's and 80's. And of course being on the computer making folks happy !  I belong to a wonderful group online called the
Garden of Friendship .

Foods that I like are pizza , salad, turkey and chicken. Of course we can't leave out a good steak.
I especially enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Pies are my favorite desert. My mother makes the best pies. So I don't think there are any I don't like.
